The Law Office of Mark L. Hayes is pleased to announce its 2020 summer associate, Samantha Jayne, a student at the University of North Carolina School of Law. Samantha, a rising third-year law student and Executive Member of the Holderness Moot Court Negotiations Team, will work with Mr. Hayes this summer on a variety of legal and educational matters.
Before attending the University of North Carolina School of Law, Samantha graduated with distinction from the University of Colorado Boulder. During her time at the University of Colorado, Samantha was an active leader in the pre-law community, serving as President of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, CU Boulder Chapter for two years and Co-President of Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honors Fraternity, CU Boulder Chapter for one year.
Prior to working with Mr. Hayes, Samantha’s legal summer internships included work in areas including personal injury, workers’ compensation, medical malpractice and negligence. Samantha is eager to work with Mr. Hayes to enrich her knowledge on appellate law and sharpen her practice skills for the future.
The Law Office of Mark L. Hayes handles all manner of appellate cases, with a large caseload of criminal and family appeals. Mr. Hayes practices solely in appellate law, and since starting his practice in 2011 has represented clients at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, the North Carolina Supreme Court, and the United States Supreme Court.
