For Attorneys
“That was a brilliant piece of work, by the way.”
— Attorney after consultation in custody appeal.
“You are a wordsmith master!! I could not have done this without you! Keep me near the top of the reference list.” — Attorney after using brief-writing services in foreclosure appeal.
Sometimes an attorney will ask for assistance in handling a case on appeal, especially if that attorney rarely practices appellate law. For such attorneys, the idea of compiling a record, filing a properly formatted brief, or navigating the Rules of Appellate Procedure can seem daunting, even if that attorney has long practiced law in the substantive legal field from which the appeal is taken. Other times the attorney simply has no time or interest in pursuing the appeal, but does not want to discontinue her representation of a valued client.
